About Angel Camp  


My name is Sheila, and I am a thirty year old female who is very involved with children, and have been for the past seventeen years.  Children seem to be the central focus point in my life, as they are my passion!  I have a four year  old daughter, and a wonderful husband, Steven.  Steven's career is in Quality Assurance and Quality Control for the pharmacuetical company, Quality Comsetics.  He is also an athletic trainer for the soccer club in Golden, Colorado Ice for children ten years of age and under.  We are both very active people, who love the outdoors, family, and are very involved with our church.  

I attended The Metropolitan State College of Denver from 1998 - 2004 taking all the general classes as well as classes such as:  Early Childhood, Behavioral Science, Elementary Education, Psychology, Social Sciences, and Children's Literature.

I have worked at a private childcare facility for a year as a kindergarten teacher assistant, working the before and after care program, summer camp instructor, infant instructor, and in the front office administration.  I have also nannied for over three families, and done child care for over thirty-five families.  I have cared for children from the ages of newborn up to fifteen years of age.  

Angel Camp is a licensed childcare facility that is recognized by the State of Colorado.  I am also certified in adult, child, and infant cpr, first aid, medications administration, and universal precautions training.  Angel Camp is also insured through AllState Insurance.  I also attend classes/conferences regularly to keep my knowlege in the early childhood field current.
